Little bit of Fall color from the Longhord Cavern entrance, up near Inks Lake in the Texas Hill country. The Rose Garden in the Spring at Hermann Park in Houston. Bandera is the dude ranch capitol of Texas, so they say! I was there a few years ago as a birthday treat from my folks and had a great time…as always, the camera was at the ready and when I saw the old boots on the fence post, I knew I had found boot heaven. If you have never been to [...] Another shot from a bit earlier in the day of the Brooklyn Bridge and NY Skyline, from the 2009 road trip! There was excellent color at Lost Maples several years ago and I am still working on the photos… here we have a leaf (Red Oak, I think) just hanging on in the late Fall. Single RAW, converted with Photomatix and cleaned up with PS5. At the Oasis on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas…this is from last summer when the lake was very low due to the drought, which uncovered these "islands." Georgetown, Texas is home to Southwestern University and the campus is a great place for photography, I think. Home Street in Austin, Texas is one of those cool, funky, Austin-y neighborhoods great anytime of year but especially fun during Christmas. Pretty much the entire street decorates for Christmas…and not your normal decorations – lighted motorcycles, volcanoes and tin-foil sharks have been in vogue over the years.
