Hiking around Lake Georgetown this fall, ran into many of these…look cool in an alien-invasion sort of way!

Lake Georgetown. About 2 miles in on the hike along the San Gabriel trail is Crockett Falls – a spring fed area that runs down into the river. Very tranquil place and well worth the hike in.

After a day of Black Friday shopping, a natural, people-free, shopping-free area of tranquility is needed!

About three miles in on Lake Georgetown is Crockett Garden and Crockett Falls. Here is a fence from the old homesite there – i think the B&W gives it more of the aged feel that you’d have in person.
