The fall colors in Vienna were quite spectacular in November several years ago. Here is a shot from the Schonbrunn Palace area, looking down the hill through a tree-lined lane back to the city.

Vanderpool, Lost Maples SNA – a grove of Lacey Oaks lines Can Creek at one of the campgrounds along the East Trail in Lost Maples. They turn a beautiful orange and yellow in the fall if conditions are right – this is from December 2008 when conditions were good for some nice color.

The color was hard to find at Lost Maples last week but there was some in a few parts of the park. Looking up through the leaves of a big leaf maple that had turned certainly did provide the color!
