Lake Georgetown. About 2 miles in on the hike along the San Gabriel trail is Crockett Falls – a spring fed area that runs down into the river. Very tranquil place and well worth the hike in.

I thought I’d try something different using the new NIK HEP software with the Alamo… I thought this more grainy look gave it the feel of an old fortress hidden deep in the jungles of Texas. What do you think of the treatment?

Went out to Hamilton Pool a week ago when the weather was just great – cool, clear and sunny. Hamilton Pool is south of Austin and a very popular summer spot due to the cool water – in the fall, though, it is very tranquil with fewer people. Here is Art, a semi-retired English professor in San Antonio who I met while walking around the grotto.
